Contexto del ecosistema fintech de Latinoamérica

Fintech es sin duda, la industria más importante para el ecosistema de Venture Capital de Latinoamérica. Lo dice la cantidad de startups y el volumen de fondeo existente para esas startups en la región a lo largo del tiempo y en los últimos años.

Por nombrar algunos datos:

• 33% de la inversión de venture capital fue para fintech en el 2023 en latinoamérica, acorde al reporte “Venture Capital en LATAM: tendencias y oportunidades 2023” de Cuantico.
• En 2023 había 3.069 startups fintechs de 26 países diferentes, según el “Cuarto informe de la serie Fintech en América Latina y el Caribe”, por Finnovista.

Por esta razón, decidimos hacerle un mapeo de inversionistas a la industria que más volumen de inversión y startups moviliza en America Latina.

En este listado incluimos a instituciones con un alto nivel de especialización y preferencia por fintech, siendo en algunos casos su única industria de inversión. Como máximo, las instituciones de este listado se enfocan en 3 industrias, siendo fintech una de ellas.
